People love to listen to the radio! It's free music, why not? Let's consider for a moment the features of any ordinary radio. It's mainly played in your car or on a portable boom box, the stations are limited to what's available in the existing market, and there are commercials - lots of them. Pandora is a radio application released to bring the radio to your mobile device; and it does just that!
Pandora is not just any radio, however. With pandora comes a new era of creating your own custom radio station. That's right, a custom radio station! Imagine the possibility of listening to artists that only you love, or a genre of music that only you like. With Pandora, you make your entire radio, complete with a custom list of radio stations unique to your individual liking. This is done by selecting artists, genres of music, or composers that you like. For example, if you like John Mayer you can create a John Mayer radio station that will play mainly John Mayer songs as well as other artists very similar to John Mayer.
After creating a list of your own, unique radio stations, you have immediate access to select the radio station the "fits the current mood." It will instantly begin playing music at a standard quality (which is actually very good) to reduce data download space. Another option is the high quality stream which is excellent.
An amazing feature of Pandora is the idea that it is constantly working to play music you like. Take for example that on your John Mayer radio station you get a Jason Miraz song that you can't stand. You can simply give it the thumbs down, and it will never play that song again. On the other end of the spectrum, if you get a song you absolutely love, it will play it more often. The more you listen to Pandora the more the radio stations adapt to your style.

GUI / User-Friendliness
The design of Pandora is what most people desire - It's simple, intuitive, and nicely structured. A typical person would be able to navigate through the application with minimal difficulty.
Price
Pandora is absolutely free and that's that. Free applications tend to support themselves with ads, and Pandora does contain a minimal amount of advertisements. Their advertisements are in no way shape or form annoying, overwhelming, or obnoxiously placed. Their ad structure is similar to a radio station in that after playing songs it will go to a small commercial break. Where Pandora stands out above the other typical radio stations, however, is that their commercials tend to come after 10-20 songs and only last approximately 15 seconds. That is unbeatable! Still, if you desire the commercial free aspect of Pandora, they do offer a $36/year membership in which after paying you can listen with no advertisements.
Overall
Pandora is a must download for anyone and everyone. This application is usable and customizable for anyone who enjoys listening to music. With good reason, this application has made it to Apple's commercials, top 10 list, and has millions of downloads worldwide.
