Big Changes for MyCodeTeacher.com!
by Zachary — 6:13PM on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009
MyCodeTeacher is going through big changes! I am excited to announce a
new website design which will be implemented sometime over the next week.
We are also implementing a posted schedule for Code-Level Tech
Support! Effective Monday, October 12th, we will have developers
available via our live support to answer your questions Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 5:00PM-8:00PM Central Standard Time.
We understand not all members may be able to make these times. We are
already looking into additional development times. Some new rules will
be implemented to the Code-Level Tech Support; they are as follows:
1) Members must provide their email address to the Tech Support Staff.
2) Personal projects *may* be discussed, as long as they are a topic
taught by MyCodeTeacher.com.
3) MyCodeTeacher staff reserves the right to decline help on any project if
he/she feels the topic breeches the terms of service.
Some important things to do before coming into a Live Chat with a
Developer include:
1) Have your list of questions ready including what isn't working, what you've tried, and what you've researched to help solve the problem.
2) Your project should be compressed into a .zip file with the "build" folder deleted so that in the event the Developer requests to view your code, you may send it to him/her.
3) Be prepared to LEARN! Our developers are here to educate you. We may challenge you to your fullest potential - don't come in expecting us to always complete your project.
Until October 12th, please forward all code related questions to support@mycodeteacher.com or post them on the Q&A board.
If there are any questions regarding these new changes, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are excited for these changes and hope that they will improve the experience of our students at MyCodeTeacher.com
Sincerely,
Zachary Carter
